Brand identity to design, production and publishing for a design-centric travel guide with lots of great recommendations and personal stories.
Trippin’ is a heartwarming and lighthearted design–centric travel guide with lots of great recommendations and personal stories through our perspective. Trippin’ evolved from the conversations when friends started to ask us to share our findings and itineraries on the places we have travelled to and discovered. The cover illustration sums up their first experience together in Tokyo, chasing and missing trains after trains.
We dreamed up the brand name Trippin’. It is not just about a journey, but also being overly excited whenever we have the chance to travel. In our inaugural issue, we covered one of their all time favourite country, Japan.
Written in a first person perspective, the guide is filled with comic strips, little tips and full spread illustrations lined up across the pages, providing little insights and personal stories along the way.
To compliment the launch of the book, we reinvented the Japanese books’ inventory slip to serve as a bookmark for readers to gain quick access to important pages.
Pin badges were also made to identify ourselves as Singaporeans, and that we do not speak Japanese.
